A Fife Summer Wedding
Morven & David
I was one happy Craigsanquhar Wedding Photographer when Morven and David met with me at my Monifieth studio and commissioned me to photograph their wedding.
It was to be a summer wedding at the fabulous Craigsanquhar House Hotel just outside Cupar in Fife, Scotland.
Craigsanquhar House Hotel is a large country house set in beautiful grounds. It has wonderful modern lodges which are perfect for the bride to get ready in.
The converted stable block makes a great wedding venue for your afternoon drinks and evening reception.
Morven and David make such a lovely couple. They have such a great circle of fun family and friends and this wedding was a joy to be a part of.
Summer 2018 has seen Scotland enjoying some amazing weather and it was great to photograph an outside ceremony.
Morven spent the morning with her Mum, sister and bridesmaids having their wedding hair and makeup done.
The girls spent the morning laughing together and drinking champagne (with a little splash of gin!)
It was lovely for them all to watch all the guests arriving from their bedroom window.
They waited excitedly to put on their navy bridesmaids dresses.
Morven’s little sister was a junior bridesmaid and wore a very pretty dress in pastel pink.
Rows of white wedding chairs and a red carpet marked the spot where the ceremony would take place.
Morven looked radiant as she followed the piper down the aisle accompanied by her very proud dad.
She made a stunning bride and David was every inch the handsome groom.
I recognised their minister from Cortachy Church. He married them in a moving ceremony overlooking the rolling hills of Fife.
Their guests were a lively bunch and they were entertained by a live singer during the drinks reception in the courtyard.
An early ceremony meant we had plenty of time to take some family group photos before using the gorgeous gardens for romantic couple photos.
Morven and David still had plenty of time to mingle with the guests and enjoy their wedding reception.
I think its really important that the bride and groom get a chance to enjoy the day and have time for some lovely photos.
The speeches were great. I love a good wedding speech and as you can see from the photos there was lots of laughter.
