A garden Wedding
Magda and Alisdair
This was such a great wedding. Magda and Alaidair held the Scottish part of their Scottish /Polish wedding in Dundee.
They married in Church and were delighted to find a Polish priest to conduct their ceremony.
I met Magda and her Mum and sister and best friend at an apartment down at City Quay in Dundee.
It was a very calm morning. Sandra from Sc Makeup Artistry was getting the bride ready.
Her Mum and sister and friend helped her get ready. She wore an exquisite dress which she had brought from Poland.
The Scottish summer weather was terrible that day, rain and drizzle and then torrential rain.
Magda just smiled throughout and didn’t let the downpour bother her.
The church ceremony was a magnificent spectacle. Spoken in both Polish and English meant that everyone could understand.
Afterwards we made a quick stop in the rain to get some photos at Brought Ferry Castle before heading back to Alisdair’s parents home to the garden party reception.
It was obvious the gazebos weren’t going to cope with the torrential rain but undeterred Alisdair’s enterprising family managed to quickly put up a few more and the party went ahead despite the rain.
Food was served in their garage and everyone tucked into some delicious multi national food. Some of their German friends had brought the wine from their local village Germany.
What a great wedding!
This lovely couple have fantastic families and friends and it was one of the best weddings I’ve been to.
This wedding was all about getting great documentary photos that summed up their day.
Who says you can’t throw a great Scottish wedding in your back garden!
