Relaxed St Andrews Wedding Photography
You’ve got to a special kind of couple to book your wedding in Scotland in November and still have your heart set on some photos by the harbour.
When I first spoke to Kimberley and Ross I new this was going to be a great wedding. They are such a relaxed, laid back couple who had planned a truly wonderful day.
Forgans in St Andrews is not a typical wedding venue. It’s a quirky, fun place to eat and it used to be a fleet factory. It’s the perfect small space to for an intimate fun wedding.
Ross and Kimberley’s day was all about family and friends and good food and wine.
I met up with the girls in the morning in Sophie Butler’s hair salon, which is also the home of Vintage Beauty Box who were doing the girls’ makeup.
I loved how Kimberley walked back to the flat to get changed for her wedding. She dashed back thorough the streets of St Andrews in full wedding hair and makeup.
After a beautiful wedding ceremony in Holy Trinity Church we headed to the harbour for some photos. Kimberley and Ross had both holidayed in St Andrews as kids and the harbour held a special place in their hearts and they were really keen to have a few pictures taken there. It was quite a task as it was incredibly windy. Kimberley’s veil lasted about five minutes before it flew of. She just laughed and we carried on with the pictures. Then we did a very quick photo tour of St Andrews before heading back to join their guests in Forgans.
The atmosphere was so relaxed and I could just tell that everyone was having a great time. The thought and care that they had put into the wedding styling really showed through, with lots of little personal touches.
Thanks so much to Kimberley and Ross for asking me to be a part of their day. I loved every minute.
