Kinkell Byre Wedding Photography
St Salvator’s University Chapel wedding in St Andrews
Jane & Ian
I adore everything about being a wedding photographer in St Andrews.
The combination of a church wedding at St Salvator’s Chapel and a reception at The Kinkell Byre was just magical.
It was a freezing cold January day when I arrived at Hawkswood House to photograph Jane’s bridal preps.
Sophie from Sophie Alexis Makeup was in charge of all the girls hair and makeup.
It was a very relaxed morning and I enjoyed spending some time with Jane and her bridesmaids while they got ready.
There was time for me to pop next door to get some groom prep photos of Ian and his best men.
The winter sun shone as Jane and her Dad entered the huge arched doorway of St Salvator’s Chapel.
The organ played and father and daughter walked down the aisle to where Ian was waiting for his bride.
It was a traditional ceremony with much singing and readings.
The marriage was sealed with a kiss and after they had signed the register they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife.
The Quadrangle is a great spot for photographs. Jane and Ian liked my natural style and wanted a relaxed record of their day.
Kinkell Byre looked wonderful. Decorated in classic style with thousands of fairy lights. It had a real wow factor when the guests arrived.
Everyone had a fantastic day. A beautiful bride, a handsome groom with great wine and food and a brilliant band. What more could anyone want.
Did I mention the surprise of the night? Jane had organised a full pipe band as a surprise for Ian. They were fantastic and just made the evening.
Here’s how I saw their day.
