Rufflets Hotel Wedding Photographer | Rufflets is a beautifully elegant country house hotel. It is situated near St Andrews on the East coast of Scotland.
I love being a Rufflets Hotel Wedding Photographer. The 28 bedroomed house is set in the most delightful gardens which are lovingly tended by a team of expert gardeners. There are so many delightful spots in the gardens that are perfect for photographs and you don’t need to venture far from your wedding guests to find the perfect backdrop. It really doesn’t matter if you choose to be married in spring, summer, autumn or winter there will be something in the grounds that will delight your guests. If you do decide to get married in the summer months and you are lucky enough to have chosen a beautifully warm day then your guests can spill out onto the large, sunny terrace and sip their champagne by the sundial. Some may also choose to take a wander through the trees and find some shade by the arched bridge that crosses the little stream.
Rufflets was built at the beginning of the twentieth century and it has a very french feel about it. The interior decor is bright and airy, the drawing room, library and dinning rooms all have wonderfully large windows that look out over the gardens and that flood the rooms with light. At night when the curtains are drawn it takes on a different feel as the open fires are lit and the wine is poured. Guests will start to gather by the fire in the lobby and for a drink by the fire before settling into the dinning room to enjoy some delicious food in the two AA rosette restaurant. Wedding guests at Rufflets are always delighted by the high standard of cuisine and the selection of fine wines.
The staff at Rufflets are all so kind, friendly and professional and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Their attention to detail especially on a wedding day is exceptional. There is never a hitch and nothing is ever overlooked. Their one aim is to give your guests thee most fabulously unforgettable wedding. Stephen leads his dedicated team with a smile and good humour and whether you are hosting a small intimate wedding or a large wedding that fills the garden suite, you can be assured of great service.
The Garden Suite with it’s large windows that overlook the terrace and gardens is a wonderful space to hold your wedding. On arrival guests will meet in the long gallery before being shown to their seats in the ceremony room. It is decorated in soft shades and is sure to compliment any bride’s wedding colour scheme. It must be a lovely feeling standing , holding the hand of the one you love, about to be married and looking out through the french doors to the rose-gardens.
The weather will decide whether you have the drinks reception inside or out but either way your guests will feel relaxed in lovely surroundings.
