St Andrews Wedding Rufflets Hotel
Jenni + Dale
 St Andrews Wedding   Rufflets Hotel
Stylish, elegant and romantic…three words I would use to describe Jenni and Dale’s wedding in St Andrews.
They chose one of my favourite wedding venues, Rufflets Country House Hotel. It’s perfect in every way. Beautiful gardens, lovely surroundings with fine wines, friendly staff and a great chef, what more could you want. I’m convinced it also has it’s own Rufflet’s micro climate as it always seems to have the better weather than elsewhere.
I first photographed Jenni when she turned 21 and I also photographed her Mum and Step-Dad’s wedding so it was a real honour to be asked to photograph this incredibly special day.
Jenni spent her morning with her Mum, bridesmaids and flower girl in one of the hotel’s lodges. It’s great place to chill the night before your wedding. Sophie-Alexis did their make-up while Iiana was creating stylish wedding hair. Tiny pink rosebuds were the finishing touch to Jenni’s look. It was such a fun filled morning with much laughter and excitement. I didn’t detect any pre-wedding nerves.
I loved the bridesmaids dresses and the tiny blush pink flower girl’s dress. Jenni’s Mum wore a fabulous dress from Bear Necessities in Auchterarder. Lovely as they all were they couldn’t top the stunning bride. Jenni looked gorgeous, she wore the most fabulous dress!
Dale and his groomsmen all looked very handsome in their kilts as did the adorable little pageboy.
By 1pm guests had started to arrive and the long gallery was fast filling up. Friends and relatives were catching up with each other and there was much excitement in the air.
The Garden Suite looked splendid as the guests took their seats. A little fleet of gleaming luxury white cars drove the short distance from the lodges, Jenni knew how to arrive in style!
Alan beamed with pride as he walked her down the aisle to be married to Dale.
Dale is a pilot and I loved the little aviation touches in the table names and favours.
The gardens at Rufflets are perfect for photographs especially in the spring when the blossom is out.
We spent a short time taking some family photos and the some of the bridal party. While the guests enjoyed champagne and canapés on the lawn.
Jenni and Dale liked my documentary style but also liked my romantic couple images so we mixed it up a little !
Here’s my favourite photos from their day.
