St Salvator’s Chapel Wedding St Andrews
The Old Course Hotel Wedding Reception
Ashleigh + Tom
I was delighted to be asked to be the photographer at Ashleigh and Tom’s St Salvator’s Chapel Wedding in St Andrews.
I knew from the moment I spoke to Ashleigh away back at her wedding planning stage that we were going to get on brilliantly. Ashleigh and Tom are such a great couple. Tom is English and Ashleigh is Canadian and so their wedding guests were from all corners of the world.
Ashleigh fell in love with St Andrews when she went to University there and like many former students she decided to come back to St Andrews to be married.
You really couldn’t find a better place for a wedding than this iconic Scottish coastal town.
Ashleigh’s parents rented a town house overlooking the famous first tee. I spent the morning there with Ashleigh and her Mum and bridesmaids as their had their wedding hair and make-up done.
I love a wedding morning, it’s always such fun and I’m so lucky to be part of it.
Like so many St Andrews University graduates Ashleigh wanted her wedding ceremony to be held in St Salvator’s Chapel. It’s such a beautiful building and has many memories for students.
Tom and his groomsmen wore morning suits. I loved Tom’s pale yellow waistcoat which matched his groomsmen’s ties.
The service was a grand affair. Ashleigh’s dad, Father of the Bride looked immensely proud of his daughter as he walked her down the long aisle to where her groom was waiting.
She looked utterly stunning in her wedding gown.
I had a bird’s eye view from the gallery.
They held their reception at The Old Course Hotel and on the way there we stopped at The Swilken Bridge for some photographs before heading to the West Sands.
Ashleigh had her heart set on some romantic photos on the beach and luckily the Scottish weather was being very kind.
We headed back to The Old Course hotel for a sophisticated wedding breakfast and then a right good party!
Here’s how their day went
